Several students were injured as they rushed to exit the building, suffering scrapes, scratches and bruises, according to the Harris County Fire Marshals Office. Fireworks are explosive devices, and when not used appropriately, fireworks can cause harm and are dangerous.It is unclear if Galena Park ISD, which oversees North Shore Senior High School, sent a letter to parents about the Wednesday afternoon explosion.
