Gang member arrested while committing robbery at Wendy’s in Spring

A documented gang member was apprehended and arrested during an attempted robbery at a Wendy’s restaurant in Spring.
The incident occurred at around 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 24, when authorities with Montgonery County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery in progress at the Wendy’s located on Sawdust Road.
Deputies rushed to the scene and quickly apprehended the suspect—who authorities have linked to gang activity—as the robbery was in progress.
Nicholas Rivas, 25, was arrested and charged with felony robbery. He is being held in Montgomery County Jail on $75,000 bond.
