LOS ANGELES – Rapper and singer PnB Rock was shot and killed Monday while eating at a Los Angeles restaurant with his girlfriend, according to multiple reports.

The Los Angeles Police Department said they received reports about a robbery and shooting at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles, a popular Inglewood restaurant at 1:23 p.m.

The Los Angeles Times reported that law enforcement sources said the victim is PnB Rock, whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen.

NBC Philadelphia reported that Allen, 30, was eating when the gunman approached, brandished a gun and demanded property. Police said the gunman shot him multiple times, stole from him and hopped into a getaway vehicle.

Hours before the fatal shooting, Allen posted a video showing his girlfriend on his Twitter account.

The Philadelphia native released his debut single in 2014, which he wrote while incarcerated, according to NBC 10 reported. He signed with Atlantic Records in 2015.

He was featured on Ed Sheeran’s 2019 song “Cross Me.” In 2020, PnB Rock released “Ordinary,” which featured late rapper Pop Smoke, who was slain during a robbery of a Hollywood Hills home on Feb. 19.
