The guard reportedly fired at the suspects before the suspects fled the scene. The guard was not injured. It is unclear if the suspects fired at the guard.
Two of the suspects fled on foot while another fled in a car, according to Crowson.
“The security guard did a good job. He was going into the store, when he originally went in he saw a suspicious vehicle which is going to be this green Dodge truck here, its very loud when its idling. We believe that to be a stolen vehicle that they stole when they come up here,” Crowson said.
Police believe the guard may have hit one of the suspects in the exchange of gunfire so they are waiting to see if anyone shows up to a hospital with a gunshot wound.
Crowson says the suspects did not get away with any money.
The FBI confirms investigators are also responding to the scene.
