Houston's Sarah Grace performs on Top 11 round of 'The Voice'

HOUSTON – Houston's Sarah Grace did it again -- wowing the judges and the crowd in Hollywood. She also has folks back here at home pretty excited.

Several dozen of Sarah's closest friends and family members held a watch party at a restaurant in Webster on Monday night.  Her mother and little sister were among her biggest supporters -- cheering and listening along as the 16-year-old with the bluesy style commanded the stage.

"Just the fact that she's stayed strong, and her nerves are like steel," says her mother Jennifer Kimberly.  "We're very proud of her."

Also at the restaurant were members of Sarah's local band and loved ones who knew her in her younger days, when she was learning to sing.

"Very proud. Super proud. I can't describe it," said Daniel, who plays bass in Sarah Grace's band, Sarah Grace and the Soul. "I'm very happy for her."

Others feel the same.

"I feel like she's one of my children," said longtime family friend Benette Rowley.  "I've watched her grow into this point and, whatever happens, she'll be a huge success."

Sarah Grace has been highly successful on "The Voice" this season, and she is now on the verge of making it into the final 10. Regardless of where she winds up, her mother said her daughter is living a dream.

"She's gone way farther than she expected, than we expected," said her mother.  "To go from so many at open calls all the way down to the top 11 is amazing progress.  And she's just having fun."

The results of tonight's vote will be announced on "The Voice" tomorrow night. Of the 11 contestants from tonight, one will be eliminated.
