2 arrested after police chase, smash and grab at Humble Verizon store

HUMBLE – Two people were arrested in Humble Tuesday after a break-in at a Verizon store and a 20-mile chase.

Investigators said the duo smashed a stolen pickup truck into the front of the store in the 20800 block of Highway 59 and ran from deputies.

Officials placed spike strips on the road, causing the truck to crash into a concrete barrier on Uvalde at 90.

No injuries were reported.

Both people were taken into custody.

It is unclear if the suspects took any merchandise or cash from the Verizon store.
