La Marque man shoots wife in head, police say No description found
LA MARQUE, Texas – A La Marque man was arrested Tuesday after he shot his wife in the head, police said.
The shooting was reported just before 10 p.m. at a home in the 5100 block of Fleming Street.
Police said officers arrived to find the body of 54-year-old Gina Oliphant. Her husband, 58-year-old Johnny Oliphant, was identified as a suspect in the case.
Johnny Oliphant was charged with murder. He was being held in jail on $100,000 bond.
Police did not immediately release any details about a motive in the shooting.
