College basketball 101 – terms, plays and other basics of the NCAA tournament

HOUSTON – March is one of the best months of the year because we get the Rodeo, our first taste of spring weather, and lots of college basketball!

Beginning TODAY, sixty-eight college basketball teams from the NCAA’s Division 1 will compete for the National Championship title over three weeks.

It’s one of the biggest and most exciting events in all of sports, but maybe you don’t know EVERYTHING (or ANYTHING) about what’s going on --

Lauren Sampson, UH’s Men’s Basketball’s Director of Operations, is helping us break down terms, plays and other basics of the big tournament.
