A 64-year-old man has been pronounced dead following a chain-reaction crash in Brazoria County on Saturday.

KATY, Texas – Broken and twisted metal are the aftermath of a deadly accident in Katy Friday. The driver of the truck is Cruz Garcia. Garcia said around 6 a.m., he was driving his truck on the Katy Freeway near Fry Road, and two trucks were racing. The driver that killed the good Samaritan stayed at the scene and is speaking with police. However, the driver that clipped Garcia did not stop.

HOUSTON – Recovery efforts are underway Tuesday morning to find the bodies of three construction workers who were killed when 13 floors of concrete stairs collapsed. Then a crane is going to remove unstable concrete planks through the roof. “We have to remove those one by one in order to get to the ground floor where the debris field and the bodies are currently located,” said Lozano. Lozano said once crew members gain access to the ground floor, they will reassess the situation and determine how to best remove the debris and the three bodies of the deceased. There is no reason to put the lives of firefighters or technical engineers in danger,” said Lozano.

Investigators said the man walked across the road and into traffic before he was hit. HOUSTON – A car split in half in a deadly accident in northwest Houston Wednesday night, police said. Police said a man died in the accident and they are investigating whether he was street racing at the time. According to officers, a witness told them a Honda Hatchback was racing another vehicle when it veered off the road and ran into a tree. The victim, a man in his mid-20s, was thrown from the car and died at the scene. Police said they are searching for surveillance video to see if they can get more information on the other vehicle the witness reported seeing.
