A major crash involving two vehicles has closed all eastbound lanes of the Grand Parkway near Mossy Oaks; drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

A vehicle fire is blocking all eastbound lanes of SH 99 in the area of SH 249 and Telge Road, officials said Wednesday morning.

Texas State Highway 99 and the intersection where it meets Farm-to-Market Road 529 have caused continuous traffic problems as the Cypress and Katy areas continue to grow, with roads struggling to keep up with demand.

The eastbound lanes of the Grand Parkway are shut down at the Hardy Toll Road due to a major crash.

Rebar fell and hit a vehicle below the flyover. No one was hurt and roads are open again.

A large pothole has shut down three lanes at I-10 eastbound near SH 99, according to deputies with Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.

HOUSTON – KPRC 2′s Andy Cerota spoke with a TxDOT representative Danny Perez about the wintry weather expected this weekend, as well as efforts to mitigate its effect throughout the Houston area. Perez said a substance called brine -- made of salt and water -- is currently being spread on some area roadways ahead of the weekend weather. Crews are wrapping up pre-treating for the potential for wintry weather this weekend in the Northwest portion of Harris County. CYPRESS, Texas – Traffic delays are underway after an 18-wheeler fell off the Highway 290 overpass in Cypress Thursday, according to Harris County sheriff’s deputies. Crews said they were called to the scene on US 290 near SH 99 and were told a tractor-trailer fell off the overpass. US 290/ SH99 Entrapment 12.17.20 Crews respond to a motor vehicle with entrapment on US 290 near SH 99 involving a tractor-trailer that reportedly fell off the overpass Thursday morning in Cypress. Fire crews extricated an adult male who was trapped inside the cab of the truck and EMS transported the patient in critical condition. The Harris County Sheriff's Office is on-scene investigating this incident.
