An off-duty Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy was struck and killed Saturday evening by a suspected drunk driver, the department said.
An officer was killed and one suspect was transported to the hospital Wednesday after a shooting at PlazAmericas Mall in southwest Houston, according to authorities.
The man charged in the 2019 murder of a Houston police sergeant will spend the rest of his life behind bars after accepting a plea deal Monday.
