Kelly Carroll is stepping down as athletic director at Fort Bend Christian Academy, effective immediately, and the 2022 softball season will be her last as head coach of the Eagles.

Now, as they head into 2021, Carroll returns just three starters from the 2020 team. Katie Dillon (St. Edwards University) will play catcher and outfield for the Eagles and will be penciled in as the leadoff batter. Hodge brings a big bat as a lefty and has deceptive speed. THERE IS A RUNNING JOKE IN THE HALLS OF FORT BEND CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, AND IT IS BETWEEN KELLY CARROLL'S SOFTBALL PROGRAM AND ROBERT SANDERS' FINE ARTS PROGRAM. I think the same kind of passion that Kelly Carroll brings to sports is what I bring to fine arts." But Sanders will quickly tell you it's not all about the eight TAPPS Arts State Titles (2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011). In fact, this past spring Sanders graduated with his Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Ceramics. Some FBCA fine arts students have gone on to do amazing things in college including Marisa Torres, who works for Nickelodeon Animation as an Artist Program-Design Track.

Carroll has spear-headed a capital project that includes replacing the turf at their multi-purpose stadium. FBCA is installing Brock's PowerBase Pro the original shock pad system that set all industry standards for artificial turf fields. "This is an engineered shock pad under the field turf. FBCA is also replacing the surface with RootZone 3D3 by Astroturf the company's most popular system. There's a new sheriff in town and she is bringing some new safety protocols as well as aesthetics to the Eagles' Nest.
