Former Bellaire Cardinal basketball star Jacolb Cole announced his commitment to play college basketball at Oklahoma Saturday.

CYPRESS—Shadow Creek broke open a competitive game at halftime with a dominant third quarter to rout Bellaire, 73-42, in their Region III-6A semifinal Friday night at the Berry Center.

After Bellaire’s 59-25 loss to DeSoto in a San Antonio tournament game in late November, Cardinals junior wing Jacolb Cole shook the hand of DeSoto head coach Richard Bacon.

One of Houston’s high school basketball rising stars, Jacold Cole, participated in Team USA’s Junior Nation Team mini-camp recently.

It was Bellaire, who was one game away from reaching the state tourney. The Cards made school history for the second time last year, advancing to the Regional Finals. Well, their three stars return, so state is a legit aspiration. District MVP Jaylon Calvin and first-teamer Elijah Lawrence (Rice-commit) make up the best backcourt in the city.
