During a search for a missing 16-year-old, authorities on Sunday found a body in the surf near lifeguard tower 47 on Galveston Island. According to Galveston Island Beach Patrol Chief Peter Davis, the body found matches the description of the teen that went missing. The 16-year-old went missing Saturday night around 9:30 p.m.A family friend said the teen had been swimming with friends near the 4400 block of Seawall Blvd. The Galveston Police Department, Galveston Fire Department, Galveston Island Beach Patrol Galveston County EMS and the U.S. Coast Guard were among the agencies involved in the search for the missing teen.
