When first responders made it to the scene, they saw the house was heavily on fire. They were not able to enter the house at first due to the blaze.

The fire was eventually contained. Sullivan said his parents lived in the house for 30 years, and they were about the make their last mortgage payment.

He also said his parents took care of his brother.

“They sacrificed everything to make sure that they could provide for him, so it’s really sad that they’re gone,” Sullivan said.
