Birdville Lady Soccer has eyes set on greatness
After a 2019-2020 season cut short, Birdville girls soccer will begin district play for the 2020-2021 season tonight as they take on the Denton Ryan Raiders in Denton. The Lady Hawks are currently ranked as No. Despite a shortened season, the Lady Hawks finished third in their district last year. With big wins over non-district matchups like Weatherford, Arlington Seguin, Burleson, and more it's safe to say Birdville is more than ready for their district games. Birdville's match against Denton Ryan is slated to begin at 7:15 pm.
Authorities: Utah's Ty Jordan died in accidental shooting

Jordan, 19, died in an emergency room at a hospital in Denton around 10:45 p.m. on Christmas Day, according to medical examinerโs records.
Denton and Grapevine clash for 3rd time in the UIL State Volleyball 5A-I final
The Grapevine Mustangs (16-5, 10-4) are gearing up to face the Denton Broncos (21-2, 13-1) in the UIL Class 5A State Championship Region I Final on Saturday, December 5th at 2 p.m. Last season, Grapevine defeated Denton 3-2 in the regional quarterfinal round of playoffs. After losing in the regional semifinals last season, Grapevine is on a mission. With a 3-2 win over Amarillo, Grapevine will likely show early offensive strength as they try to push toward a state semifinal appearance. Denton comes to the match with a bit of a vendetta against Grapevine after being sent home from playoffs by the Mustangs last season.

Wind was blowing, I want to say, around 60 mph and it was like a dust storm, then some heavy rain. Do you have any idea why we had a dust storm? First time it has ever happened here. IAH maxed out at winds of 40 mph, Hobby 41 mph, Conroe 35 mph, Tomball 31 mph, Pearland 30 mph and Galveston 25 mph. The cold front that came through was indeed cold (Dallas had a high of only 74ยฐ) and before the front arrived we had our highest temperatures all week at 91ยฐ.

A verbal argument occurred, and the victim said the man then punched him in the face.
