A man accused of helping the longtime suspect in the “Texas Killing Fields” murders conceal two bodies is now facing more charges.

Galveston County deputies arrested a man they said was actively looking at photos and videos of child pornography while they were executing a warrant at a Texas City apartment on Tuesday.

Gabriel Cortinas, 25, is charged with sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

The Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office says a Harris County man is now behind bars following a child pornography and sexual abuse investigation.

The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office said multiple agencies executed the search warrant at the home.

The arrest was made in connection with the promotion and distribution of child pornography in The Woodlands area.

Investigators found a total of 831 images of child pornography, 736 of which contained prepubescent minors. Approximately 100 included sadomasochistic activity. Evidence shows that the suspect has had sexual interest in children since the late 1980s.

A 23-year-old man has been charged after authorities found child pornography inside his League City home, where children were present, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s office.

A 49-year-old man was arrested and charged after deputies say they found child pornography inside his home.

Parents are being urged to check their children’s digital devices for any possible communication with a girl named “Lizzy,” who investigators said is really a man luring children to engage in child pornography. The suspect lives in California, but evidence shows he reached out to kids in Houston and other parts of Texas.
