The parents of a 2-year-old child that was wandering in southwest Houston Thursday have been found, police said.

HOUSTON Police said a child has been found after a car theft at a laundromat in northeast Houston Tuesday, police said. Officers said the incident happened around 3:20 a.m. in the 3500 block of Little York when someone took a vehicle that was running. Police said a child was inside the vehicle. According to officers, the child was found wandering in the parking lot and appears to be okay. Check back for updates.

Nicole Harrison, 30, has been charged with kidnapping after police said she took her ex-girlfriend’s son, sparking an Amber Alert. Prosecutors said she took her ex-girlfriend’s 10-year-old son to a motel near Greenspoint yesterday without the permission of his mother. The child’s mother told police her and Harrison had been together for eight years up until five months ago. The child’s mother said he called Harrison “dad” all of his life. The child told his mom he missed Harrison and wanted to see her.
