A man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of an up-and-coming entertainer has been arrested, according to records.

Court documents are revealing new details about how police tracked down 40-year-old Montrel Burley as one of the fatal shooting suspects.

As a manhunt is underway for the people responsible for firing dozens of rounds and murdering up-and-coming rapper BTB Savage in Houston’s River Oaks area, his mother is calling for the suspects to do the right thing and turn themselves in.

Montrel Lenard Burley, 40, has been charged with murder in the death of Darrell Gentry, a 26-year-old rapper from the Cleveland area known as BTB Savage.

Houston police say the victim of a drive-by shooting near the River Oaks area on Thursday afternoon is believed to be a rapper in his mid-20s.
