These Houston Astros win over Leslie Jones on 'Saturday Night Live'

HOUSTON – This "Saturday Night Live” was a special one for Houstonians as World Series champions, the Houston Astros, were featured on the iconic NBC broadcast.

MVP George Springer, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman appeared on the comedy sketch show in the Weekend Update with Leslie Jones.

PHOTOS: Astros' appearance on SNL

Jones, a Yankees fan, began the sketch by admiring the physical prowess of the MLB athletes. She joked about Altuve's height and Springer's name, calling it the name of a "mattress salesman."

Just then, the players appeared behind Jones and gave her some Astros gear. Jones appeared to be smitten with the team by the end of the sketch. 

The Astros and the players posted about "SNL" on their pages.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was the end of a big day for the team. The team visited Disney World just hours earlier.

Several Major League Baseball personalities have appeared on the show in the past, but according to the report, only three World Series contenders have been featured on “SNL”: the 1998 Yankees, the 2001 Yankees and the 2016 Cubs.
