Houston firefighter arrested, charged with child grooming in Austin County

HOUSTON – A Houston firefighter has been arrested and is charged in Austin County.
Sources say Jason Gaines was arrested by Austin County deputies at HFD Station 90.
He was taken to the Austin County Jail and is charged with child grooming.
HFD says it is aware of Gaines arrest and says he has been suspended with pay pending the investigation.
Details on the accusations against Gaines are unclear at this time.
KPRC 2 is working to gather more information on what led up to Gaines arrest.
