HOUSTON – Police have released surveillance video of multiple looters ransacking a northeast Houston beauty supply store during Hurricane Harvey.

The video was taken on August 29 at Supreme Beauty Supply in the 4700 block of Lockwood.
Police say the men drove to the store and pried open the front door.
In the video, the store is flooded as several men wade through, grabbing hair products and other items and eventually carrying them out of the store.
The suspects who initially broke into the store pulled up to the front door driving a gray Chevrolet Tahoe, according to police.
Police said all of those suspects were captured on surveillance video as they loaded items into the Tahoe.
"Seventeen hours of my DVR, I counted about 300 people,” the store owner said.
Once the vehicle was completely filled with stolen items, all of the men climbed atop the Tahoe and drove off, according to police.
Police also believe the men are responsible for breaking into the Space Liquor Store in the 4900 block of Lockwood.
Shortly after the Tahoe left the beauty store, two men -- unrelated to the first incident -- pulled up to the same store in a stolen boat, police said. They also began to remove items from within the business. Police say one of those men has been identified as Markeith Whiting and is currently wanted in the case for burglary of a building through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
Police say the thefts continued throughout the night and into the next day.
Houston police say they’re looking to identify each of the people responsible for the burglary. Harsher penalties are enacted following a natural disaster.
