SUGAR LAND, Texas – A plane trying to take off ended up running off the runway and hit a fence head on.
Officials said the accident happened at the Sugar Land Airport near Highway 6 and U.S. 90.

Investigators said the pilot had just refueled the small, single-engine plane and was trying to take off when he somehow lost control and slammed into a fence.
The pilot was taken to the hospital by a friend with minor injuries, and officials said no one else was hurt.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
