HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The mother of a 2-year-old girl, who was brought unconscious to a Spring gas station and later rushed to a hospital, has been arrested and charged.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says Jazmin Cisneros, 28, allegedly failed to seek medical attention after becoming aware that her child had been physically abused. She has been charged with injury to a child - serious bodily injury and was booked into the Harris County Jail on Tuesday.

The arrest comes after deputies responded to a gas station on Cypresswood Drive on Thursday, Aug. 6, after Cisneros and her boyfriend allegedly drove the critically injured toddler from their home about three minutes away from the location.

The 2-year-old toddler at the center of this investigation remains hospitalized in critical condition as our investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the child’s injuries.

There, they met with Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables who began rendering life-saving care on the toddler.
She had to be rushed to the hospital and eventually flown to a different hospital.
On Friday, Cisneros’ boyfriend, Gerardo Gonzalez, was arrested and charged with injury to a child - serious bodily injury after authorities alleged he struck the toddler multiple times, causing her life-threatening injuries.
As of Tuesday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says the toddler remains in critical condition.
“This remains an active investigation by HCSO Homicide. Our thoughts remain with this young child as the toddler continues to fight for recovery,” Gonzalez said.
