HITCHCOCK, Texas – Residents along a stretch of Highway 6 in Hitchcock are without water service after an emergency water main break was reported near Good Ol’ Days restaurant.
The City of Hitchcock’s Public Works Department is on scene responding to the break. To complete repairs safely, crews shut down a section of the main water line, cutting service to portions of Highway 6 between 2nd Street and 6th Street.
As of now, there is no estimated time for when service will be restored. The city says crews are working as quickly and safely as possible and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
Residents in the affected area are encouraged to monitor city communications for the latest updates.
