A former Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy is facing multiple felony charges after investigators accused him of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl he allegedly met through a dating app.
According to court records, Nicholas Burbridge was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 and solicitation. Jail records show Burbridge was booked into the Harris County Jail on Aug. 4.
Investigators allege Burbridge met the girl on a dating app and met with her several times. Court documents state that on or about Aug. 13, 2025, Burbridge allegedly offered to pay the girl money in exchange for a sexual relationship.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Burbridge was employed as a deputy but said he was terminated on March 19, 2026.
In a statement, the sheriff’s office said Burbridge has been charged by the agency with solicitation. The Houston Police Department is handling the investigation into the aggravated sexual assault charge.
According to Harris County jail records:
- Aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14: $150,000 bond
- Solicitation (payor): $15,000 bond
Burbridge made his initial court appearance on Aug. 5.
