SPRING, Texas – Families looking for a last splash of summer before classes begin can stop by a free snow cone event Monday hosted by Harris County Precinct 4.
Constable Mark Herman and Harris County Commissioner Tom Ramsey, partnering with Sunny Daze, plan to hand out snow cones from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — or until supplies run out — on Monday, Aug. 3. The event will be held at 6817 Cypresswood Drive, behind the Barbara Bush Library.

Organizers say the event is designed as a family-friendly way to kick off the new school year, with residents also getting the chance to meet Precinct 4 deputies.
Officials also emphasized that no county funds are being used for the event.
