If you’re planning a Fourth of July cookout and looking for a plant-based option, there’s a new item headed to H-E-B.
Beyond Meat announced its new Beyond Steak Filet is making its retail debut at H-E-B stores, giving Texas shoppers a chance to try the product for the first time without ordering it online. The rollout begins ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
According to the company, Beyond Steak Filet first launched through its direct-to-consumer website in October 2025, where it quickly became its best-selling product. This marks the first time the plant-based filet will be sold in brick-and-mortar grocery stores.
The whole-cut plant-based steak is made with mycelium, a mushroom root structure, and avocado oil. Each serving contains:
- 28 grams of plant protein
- 3 grams of fiber
- 1 gram of saturated fat
- Zero cholesterol
“I believe Beyond Steak Filet is our most compelling center-of-the-plate innovation since the Beyond Burger,” Beyond Meat founder and CEO Ethan Brown said in a statement.
The company says the filet is designed to deliver the taste and texture of traditional steak while using simple plant-based ingredients.
H-E-B already carries several Beyond Meat products, including burgers, sausages and steak tips. The new Beyond Steak Filet expands the retailer’s lineup just in time for summer grilling season.
