Suspect in custody after man found shot to death near Splendora

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Authorities say a suspect is in custody after a 40-year-old man was shot and killed near Splendora Thursday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said it happened in the 15800 block of E. Relza Drive.

Deputies say they found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man died at the scene.

Authorities say the scene has been secured and a suspect taken into custody. They also say there is no threat to the public.

Investigators remain at the scene.
