Investigators said the victim described the suspect along with the vehicle involved to them. While officers were still collecting information, a car matching that description came back to the scene, police said. The driver was detained and later identified as the suspected shooter. A gun was also recovered, according to investigators.
Police said the two men know each other. Investigators believe the confrontation started after the victim was disturbed by a loud vehicle in the area, leading to an argument that escalated before shots were fired.
