Fatal crash shuts down Highway 146 at FM 646 in Galveston County

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – State Highway 146 in Galveston County is currently shutdown in both directions at FM 646 due to a fatal crash.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office says the Texas City Police Department has requested their assistance with the investigation. The Sheriff’s Office Crash Team, Major Crimes Unit, and Crime Scene Unit are currently en route to the scene.

The roadway is expected to remain closed for several hours and drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
