HOUSTON â A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting last October in Houstonâs Sunnyside neighborhood.
According to Harris County court records, Dylan Villanueva, 29, was arrested on Thursday and charged with murder after authorities say he shot and killed John Crockett, 54, on Oct. 22, 2025.
Crockett was found dead with a gunshot wound after crashing into a telephone pole on 7290 Comal Street.
Houston Police Detective Cory Sharp said the suspect rode up to Crockettâs car and both got into a confrontation that led to the shooting. Police said the suspect then fled on foot.
Court records show Villanueva is due for a preliminary appearance on Monday, Jan. 20.
