Elderly woman killed in Walmart parking lot in Baytown

Baytown – Baytown police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian incident that happened in the Walmart parking lot on Garth Road.

Just before 11:30 a.m., Baytown police officers and Baytown Fire Department were called to the 4900 block of Garth Road after someone reported that a person had been hit by a car.

When the first responder got there, they saw that it was an 86-year-old woman with severe injuries.

People nearby tried to help, and emergency crews did everything they could when they arrived, but sadly, the woman didn’t survive.

The driver stayed at the scene and is working with the investigation.

At this point, investigators haven’t shared the woman’s name, as they’re still reaching out to her family.

Right now, the case is still under investigation, and there’s no word yet on whether anyone will face charges.
