A man is in critical condition after crashing a U-Haul van Thursday morning in Montgomery County .
The accident occurred at 7:30 a.m. in the 17600 block of the North Freeway under Hwy 242.
Firefighters say the driver lost control of the U-Haul, which caused it to strike the bridge abutment and become trapped. The Woodlands Fire Department along with other agencies worked together to extricate the driver before he was rushed to Hermann Memorial in serious condition.
