CYPRESS, Texas – The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office says there is a heavy law enforcement presence at a Kroger store in Cypress after a reported shooting inside the store.
The agency says the store is located in the 20300 block of Cypresswood Drive.
The constable’s office says there were reportedly shots fired inside the store.
In an update, the constable’s office says multiple people were reportedly shot. The exact number of victims and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The constable’s office says witnesses reported seeing a man wearing a yellow shirt and black pants firing a weapon inside the store.
A possible suspect has been detained.
Multiple law enforcement officers and emergency personnel are on scene.
The public is asked to avoid the area as the investigation is underway.
