Man found dead outside The Woodlands Mall, investigation underway

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Montgomery County deputies are investigating after a man was found dead outside The Woodlands Mall Wednesday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called for a welfare check at the mall located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

“The circumstances leading to the cause of death are currently under investigation. Based on the initial findings, this appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public. The identity of the deceased male will be released once the next of kin have been notified,” the sheriff’s office said.

Homicide and violent crime detectives along with crime scene investigators are conducting the investigation.
