Harris Center offers mental health programs for everyone

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – More people are becoming aware of the importance of mental health.

If you are looking for mental health resources, you can visit the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Harris County.

They offer different types of services, and they work with people with autism and intellectual disabilities.

The Harris Center provides services to everyone regardless of whether they can pay for the treatment.

Asly Guevara with the Harris Center shared more about the programs the center has and about mental well-being.

“We rarely see individuals speaking of mental health, the way we speak about physical health. But in fact, there are many studies that show that when we see mental health decline then we see our physical health also being impaired,” Guevara said.
