In a chilling turn of events, a 24-year-old woman, Shania Turner, was arrested on Thursday for the alleged murder of her 18-year-old girlfriend, Tierra Horn. The shocking crime unfolded on a hiking trail near Buffalo Bayou in downtown Houston, leaving the community stunned and Horn’s family grappling with grief.

Court records reveal that the tragic incident occurred following a heated argument between Turner and Horn. The dispute centered around Turner’s belief that Horn had given her a sexually transmitted disease. Fueled by this accusation, Turner reportedly strangled Horn and callously left her lifeless body on the Buffalo Bayou trail.

Horn’s disappearance had raised concerns among her family members, who reported her missing the day before her lifeless body was discovered. The grim find occurred around 5:40 p.m. last Friday.

Tierra Horn’s older sister, Rokeisha Calton, expressed the heart-wrenching agony the family is experiencing. In an emotional interview with KPRC 2′s Bill Barajas on Tuesday, Calton shared the haunting questions that now torment her: “I would say the hardest part for me is, I just been thinking like what did she last eat, what were her thoughts when she was being killed, did she yell for help. You know? Basically, just like what were her last moments.”

Calton further revealed the family’s struggle to make sense of the inexplicable tragedy, leaving them grappling with the devastating loss of a young life.

“We are just trying to make sense of it all,” Calton said.
