HOUSTON – A group of eight people was arrested after authorities say they trespassed onto an abandoned property in Spring as part of a viral TikTok trend.
According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, deputies recently responded to Main Street America, a long-closed attraction that has become a frequent target for social media users seeking to explore abandoned locations.

Authorities said all eight individuals were arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
Deputies said two of the suspects tried to run from the scene, but were tracked by the constable’s drone units, known as ICEMAN and VIPER, before they were taken into custody. Those two suspects also face charges of evading arrest on foot.
The arrests come just months after another group was arrested at the same property during a similar incident that authorities also linked to a social media trend. In that case, officials said one juvenile who ran from deputies was found carrying a loaded handgun.
Constable Mark Herman is warning residents, particularly young people, against participating in online challenges that encourage trespassing or other illegal activity.
“A TikTok trend isn’t worth a criminal record ... especially when ICEMAN is watching,” Herman said in a statement.
The constable’s office said anyone caught trespassing or committing crimes in Precinct 4 can expect to be arrested. Officials also encouraged parents to talk with their children about the potential legal consequences of participating in viral online challenges.
