Police searching for missing person find woman’s body in downtown Houston

HOUSTON – Houston Police said a woman’s body was discovered in downtown as authorities were searching for a person who had been reported missing.

Police said they are conducting an investigation after the body was discovered in the 800 block of McKee Street.

Police said they were notified by a family member of a missing person on Thursday. They were working alongside the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable’s Office searching for the missing person.

On Friday, police said a woman’s body was discovered during the search for the missing person.

They said they are still working to confirm the identity of the woman. They did not release the name of the person that was reported missing.
