Man shot in neck at SW Houston hookah bar

A man was injured in a shooting at a hookah bar in southwest Houston on Monday, the Houston Police Department said. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – A man was injured in a shooting at a hookah bar in southwest Houston on Monday, the Houston Police Department said.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 5900 block of Gulfton Street at approximately 1:55 a.m.

Police arrived and found a man, who had been shot in the neck.

The shooting happened in the back of a hookah bar. The man then made it to the front of the bar, and employees of the bar locked him out.

The man was later found by officers outside of the establishment. He was taken to a local hospital and had surgery.

He was not identified and his condition is unknown. This shooting is still being investigated.
