‘We will not give up’: Search for Erica Hernandez continues after mother of 3 went missing nearly 10 days ago

HOUSTON – The search for a mother of three continues after family members said she went missing nearly 10 days ago.

The search for 40-year-old Erica Hernandez will resume Tuesday at Walgreens located at 16244 S. Post Oak Rd. at 4 p.m.

Police said Hernandez was last seen on April 18. Now, local leaders, the FBI, and law enforcement have joined forces in hopes of discovering her whereabouts.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee echoed law enforcement officials as she asked for the public’s help in finding Hernandez on Monday at a press conference.

“We are looking for Erica Hernandez and we will not give up,” Lee said. “The community is looking for Erica Hernandez.”

Hernandez’s family believes something may have happened to her because she is not likely to have left her 19-year-old daughter without a vehicle to take to work.

Ring video released by Hernadez’s family showed her outside of her sister-in-law Eliva’s house hours before her disappearance. Investigators said Hernandez was last seen near Highway 288 and the Beltway driving a black GMC Acadia. It has a Texas license plate MKJ-3303.

A $1,000 reward has been donated in hopes of getting new information on Hernandez’s whereabouts and what happened the night she was last seen.
