Cici's Pizza restaurants warn customers of data breach

HOUSTON – Consumer alert: If you've eaten at a Cici's resturant in the last year, your credit card information may be at risk.

Over 135 locations were involved in the breach, and 10 of those are in the Houston area.

Cici's investigated the breach and found malware in the point of sale system.

Cici's sent out a statement that reads in part, "We believe most of the breaches were remedied within a few weeks of the intrusion. Out of an abundance of caution we are not declaring some restaurants as threat-free until they were reviewed by our forensic analyst this month."
