Astros fans in Boston rejoice after ALDS victory

BOSTON – With the ALDS in the books, the Astros have moved one step closer to the World Series, and their fans who saw them win in Boston couldn't be happier.

"Man, I can't explain how pumped I am right now," said Paul Alli of Spring, who came to town see the Astros play. "What a great game that was."

Sloane Kamitzi-Ditzel, a Houstonian who is in dental school in Boston, was excited to see her Astros win in Beantown.

"It's awesome," Kamitzi-Ditzel said. "This park has such a long history, and for Houston to finally make a stamp in this place is awesome."

It was your traditional, gritty major league playoff game at historic Fenway Park.

The Astros jumped out to another early lead, but fell behind the Red Sox in the fifth inning. Houston scored two runs in the eigth and another one in the ninth. Astros fans in Boston were confident in their team throughout.

"Toward the end we stopped celebrating too much because we're like, 'we might get beaten up if we're not careful,'" said Sean Hardesty, a Houston native who now lives in Connecticut.

Hardesty came to see the Astros in Game 4 of the ALDS with his three children, and said they had a great time.

The Astros move on to the ALCS and will start play in that series on Friday.

If the Cleveland Indians beat the New York Yankees in their divisional series, the Astros will play their first two games of the next round in Cleveland starting Friday.

If the Yankees beat the Indians, the Astros will play against the Yankees in Houston on Friday.
