A new Fort Bend ISD middle school is welcoming students for the first time Tuesday morning as Amy Coleman Middle School officially opens its doors.
The district is hosting a grand opening event from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the new campus at 22200 S. Post Oak Blvd. in Fresno.

Doors are scheduled to officially open at 8:20 a.m., when campus leaders and staff will welcome the inaugural class of Coleman Cowboys and their families at the school’s main entrance.
Coleman Middle School is Fort Bend ISD’s 16th middle school campus. The district says the new school features state-of-the-art technology, modern collaborative spaces and classrooms designed to support today’s students.
The campus also includes innovative learning areas, a spacious gymnasium and cafeteria, along with spaces designed to encourage creativity, collaboration and academic success.
Construction of the new campus was funded through the voter-approved 2023 bond.
The district expects students entering the school for the first time, staff welcoming families and school spirit to be among the highlights of the morning.
