Computer repair shop owner shoots burglar several times, deputies say

HOUSTON – The owner of a computer repair shop in northwest Harris County shot a burglar several times Tuesday, according to deputies.

The shooting was reported about 12:50 a.m. at the strip mall business on FM 1960 at Hollister Street.

Harris County deputies said they were responding to reports of a burglary at the business when they were told that the business owner had fired his gun at the intruder. The burglar fled the business, leaving a large blood trail behind, deputies said.

Deputies said they later found the intruder at Houston Northwest Hospital, and he was in critical condition.

At least three shell casings could be seen at the business.

The identity of the burglar was not immediately released.
