HOUSTON – Police are investigating a homicide Tuesday in Houston’s Independence Heights neighborhood.
The fatal shooting was reported about 5:45 a.m. near Airline Drive and East 33rd Street.
Houston police said they believe the shooting happened after some sort of disturbance in the area. The gunman fled the scene after the shooting, police said.
Investigators said the body of Tremayne Washington, 42, was found on a sidewalk.
Police said there is no known motive or suspects in the shooting.
