Raging fire destroys pallet warehouse in northwest Harris County

HOUSTON – A raging fire at a pallet company in northwest Harris County lit up the sky Wednesday night.  

The fire was reported around 11 p.m. at Kim's Pallet Inc., in the 5400 block of Cunningham. Police said a large pile of wooden pallets caught fire for an unknown reason. 

Investigators said one person lives in the warehouse. No one was injured.

More than four hours later the fire still burned.

Firefighters said low water pressure made it harder to put the fire out.

Some KPRC2 viewers reported seeing flames in the Galleria.

Fire officials said no nearby buildings were affected.

As of 4:30 a.m. Thursday, the fire was extinguished and firefighters were monitoring hot spots.
