TEXAS CITY, Texas – Authorities in Texas City are searching for a man in his 70’s who is missing after a neighbor reported seeing a capsized boat on Moses Lake Wednesday.

The Texas City Police Department says the man went fishing out in Moses Lake at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. On Wednesday, police say a neighbor of the man saw a capsized boat near the flood gate of Moses Lake around 2:30 p.m.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office boat and Dive team are on scene, along with the Texas City Police Department, the Texas City Fire Department and their water rescue boat.
The scene remains active.
