Man arrested in death of woman whose body was found in ditch
Leroy Stoots and Kumba Sesay
HOUSTON – A man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman whose body was found earlier this month in a southeast Houston ditch.
Leroy Stoots, 43, is charged with murder in the killing of Kumba Sesay.
Police said on the morning of July 3 Sesay's body was discovered in the 5300 block of Southwind Street and Jutland Road, across the street from Jones Futures Academy.
A dark-colored sedan stopped in the area hours before the body was found and left the area a short time later, police said.
Investigators targeted Stoots as a suspect in Sesay's death. He was arrested without incident Monday by members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
Sesay, 31, was well-known in the community and hosted a digital radio show.
